Since completing the building boom that resulted from the 2000 Strategic Plan and Master Plan, Duke's planning and design efforts have been largely focused on New Campus, the master plan for which was completed in 2008 and outlined the potential for academic, residential and arts-oriented buildings along Campus Drive, the historic road that connects East and West Campus.
Other design initiatives underway include an annex to the LSRC, renovations to Baldwin Auditorium and the West Campus Union, and the East Campus Pedestrianway.
